Throughout the summer, Ulverston hosts a variety of festivals, from a flag-raising and walking festival to an art and music festival, and in late November, the town hosts the world-famous Dickensian Christmas festival. In addition to being the place where Stan Laurel was born, it also holds the record for the largest foam pie fight in the world. Great walks in scenic countryside with views of Morecambe Bay and the southern Lake District can be found all around the city. The deepest, widest, and shortest canal in the world can be found here, and it makes for a great afternoon stroll with a pub and bay views at its conclusion.     All have been lovely in there own way. However this was the best of them. Was a lovely converted barn. Well laid out and spotless. Had lovely views from the main room. Easy to get to all the places we had planned to visit.
