Head to Garstang, where you can embark on a lovely stroll along the Milennium way by the river or along the Lancaster Canal which runs through the town and beyond. Finish the day off with a drink at the Th’Owd Tithe Barn by the canal or at one of the many local pubs and bars. Wander further north to Lancaster for a fantastic outing, with Lancaster Castle, Williamson Park with its butterfly house and the Judges Lodgings Museum being points of interest; the city also backs onto Morcambe, where the coastal delight of Morecambe Bay can be discovered.
