With both the Peak District National Park and Manchester city centre within easy striking distance, there’s a whole host of things to do and see from this wonderful base in picturesque Marple Bridge.. 2 steps to entrance.

Living room: With wood burner and Freeview TV with Amazon Firestick.
Kitchen/dining room: With breakfast bar, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine.

Bedroom 1: With double bed.
Bedroom 2: With single bed, pull out 2ft 6in single bed (for child).
Bathroom: With shower over bath, and toilet.. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Family groups only. . Poppy Cottage is a wonderful mid terraced cottage that can be found in thriving Marple Bridge, on the edge of the Peak District National Park. The living area has a wood burner and Freeview TV, there is a well equipped kitchen/dining area and on the first floor there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. This cottage makes a fabulous base for couples, friends and families alike looking to explore the surrounding area.
Marple Bridge offers ample amenities including a selection of food serving pubs and is also home to the Roman lakes which are popular with walkers and cyclists, together with people looking to fish and even canoe. Both Brabyns Park and Etherow Country Park are just half a mile down the road, and cycle trails such as the traffic free Middlewood Way and Sett Valley Trail can be picked up locally. Nearby towns and villages include New Mills which is home to the fabulous Torrs Riverside Park and Millenium Walkway, and lovely Hayfield which lies at the foot of Kinder Scout. The National Trust owned Lyme Park is around a 20-minute drive, and popular tourist hot spots such as Buxton, Edale and Castleton can be easily reached within a 40-minute drive. For anyone wanting to give their cars a rest Marple train station is less than a mile away providing a direct service in under half an hour to Edale in one direction, and the bright lights of Manchester city centre in the other.
