Cosy cottage in a fabulous location. Listen to the stream in the back garden, admire the hills from the rooftop balcony and visit the nearby pub, gin distillery or the ice cream farm.. Ground Floor:
Living room: With gas wood burner, TV with Chromecast and bluetooth stereo speaker.
Step down to hallway.
Kitchen/dining room: With electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and door leading to garden and stream.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail.
Steep stairs leading to.... First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With double bed.
Bedroom 2: With single sofa bed (for child) and window access to rooftop decked area.. Electric storage heaters, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included.. Patio with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Balcony with sitting-out area and garden furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome, to be kept downstairs at all times. On-road parking. No smoking. Please note: There are steep stairs in the garden leading to the patio. No children under 6 including babes in arms.. This cosy, authentically restored 19th-century mill worker’s cottage is situated at the foot of Teggs Nose hill in the village of Langley, a charming village on the Cheshire/Derbyshire border on the western edge of the Peak District. Nestled between Macclesfield Forest and Teggs Nose Country Park the area makes a superb location for walking and mountain biking. An ascent of Shutingsloe, the ‘Cheshire Matterhorn, can be undertaken directly from the village. As well as being a haven for walkers and mountain bikers, the area boasts a plethora of attractions including the global award winning Forest Gin Distillery and the delicious Blaze Farm ice cream farm. Nearby towns of Macclesfield, Buxton and Leek provide a fabulous selection of artisan shops, markets, coffee shops, bars and restaurants. With two pubs in the village and six pubs within a good walking distance of the cottage, there’s sure to be something to please everyone! The cottage boasts a roof top balcony which overlooks the beautiful rolling hills and a stream at the bottom of the garden, a choice of areas to relax and enjoy the evening sun! On chillier evenings, the cosy living room is the perfect place to relax after a day’s activities. A well-stocked local shop is 1 mile, the local pub serving food less than 100 yards, and restaurants in the local town of Macclesfield, 2½ miles.
