A charming cottage in the midst of the famous Plague village of Eyam.
In the midst of the Peak District National park in a charming, peaceful village under Eyam Edge, this lovely cottage is bursting with character and charm. Steeped in village history dating back to the Plague in 1666 the cottage has been completely renovated to create a wonderful 'home from home' holiday retreat. It is attractively decorated with crisp linen on the beds and comfy cushions on the sofa. The fully equipped dining kitchen is the perfect place to rustle up a banquet or prepare a picnic to take on one of the many walks closeby.
Situated on a quiet lane just off the village square in the lovely village of Eyam, you have many attractions on your doorstep. Take a hike up to the top of Eyam Edge and watch the many paragliders drifting by whilst marveling at one of the best views in the world.
With such beautiful surrounding scenery, don’t forget to explore the rest of the nearby attractions, such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Buxton with its amazing Opera House, the Derwent Valley Dams, or pop to Bakewell for a delicious and famous pudding.

There doesn’t seem to be a parking place by the cottage as advertised though it didn’t really matter to us as we found places close by. The cottage felt smaller than the photos implied… but it was thoughtfully designed and cozy.
