With its restful furniture, contemporary facilities, and glorious log burning stove, Thistle Cottage is a great place to arrive back to at the end of a busy day. 

Matlock is the closest town to the cottage where you can find all the necessary facilities needed for your stay; supermarkets, shops and plenty of pubs and restaurants. Hop in the car and before you know it, you could be going back in time exploring the history in Chatsworth House, riding a steam train or cable car, or marvelling at the views of the mighty Matlock Bath gorge. For the more adventurous, a trip to Gulliver’s Kingdom or a splash about in Carsington Water is a must!

Closer to home, take a wander from your doorstep into Wensley Dale or hike up to Stanton Moor and visit the Nine Ladies bronze age stone circle. If you're feeling hungry, take a stroll down by the river to one of the local pubs in Darley Bridge. Back at the cottage, snuggle up around the fire or take your favourite tipple onto the patio and chat about your amazing stay.
