A small area outside the front door with a bistro set is a great place to take in the evening air and people watch to the backing soundtrack of the babbling brook. From the cottage itself there are impressive views of Bradwell Edge and a host of interesting walks around the local area. The park opposite the barn there is a very pleasant open-air café open Thursday - Sunday all year round serving fabulous home made cakes. Bradwell village offers the convenience of three pubs which all serve appetising food. For your self-catering needs there is a local supermarket, Post Office, bakery, fish and chip shop! Slightly further afield you can potter around the historic market town of Bakewell, or the spa town of Buxton, renowned for its spring water, opera house and arts, jazz and opera festivals. It is easy to spend a whole day at Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, with many historic properties nearby. Whatever time of year you jump on board, this cottage is just the ticket.

Bradwell is a pretty village in Hope Valley, in the Peak District National Park. Tideswell, with its ‘Cathedral of the Peak’ just four miles from Bradwell. The picturesque village of Castleton is three miles away. The dramatic scenery of Winnats Pass and Edale in the Edale Valley, famous as the start of the Pennine Way, is nearby. Hathersage is just four miles away and has excellent cafes and an open-air, heated swimming pool.
