This is the perfect retreat for walking enthusiasts, with the Peak District National Park just a short drive from this cosy property. . Ground Floor:

Living/dining room: With wood burner, 32" Freeview TV and beams.

Kitchen: With electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine.

First Floor:

Bedroom: With double bed and 20" Freeview TV.

Bathroom: With shower over corner bath, and toilet.. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack. 1 small dog welcome. Enclosed garden with sitting-out area. Bike store. On road parking, 100 yards away. No smoking.. Round the Corner Cottage is a perfect couple’s getaway that is full of character. Set over two levels, upstairs you will find a spacious double bedroom and bathroom with corner bath. Downstairs, there is an open plan living/dining room with a fantastic exposed stone wall, as well as a brilliant wood burner to make those winter nights extra cosy. Towards the rear of the property is a well-equipped kitchen, and outside is a lovely, well-kept garden with seating area.

Holmfirth is a picturesque village that was the original setting for the popular television show ’Last of the Summer Wine’, and has plenty of character and amenities, including pubs, shops and restaurants. Take a tour around the variety of film locations, or even visit the Picture Dome, which is a fabulous venue for live music and events. Holmfirth is also home to its very own vineyard which offers meals, tours and wine tasting events.

For those wanting to venture further afield, Round the Corner Cottage is on the edge of the fabulous Peak District National Park, which means there are endless outdoor opportunities for walkers. Cyclists alike will relish the chance to recreate the 2015 Tour de Yorkshire at Holme Moss. Other attractions include the National Mining Museum and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, both of which are around a 25-minute drive away. An hour’s drive will take you to the National Trust’s Nostell Priory, the Royal Armouries in Leeds, Shibden Park and Oakwell Hall and Country Park. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
