Relax into The Retreat, located in the peaceful village of Brede, surrounded by beautiful countryside.  This charming semi-detached cottage has many traditional features and has been tastefully furnished and styled to a high standard, offering a modern twist.  There is an added bonus of a wood burning stove and on the first floor landing you can enjoy views over the garden from the window seat, making this the perfect spot for a holiday at any time of the year. You can walk to the village pub and enjoy free wifi and delicious food at The Red Lion or venture further afield and explore Rye with its famous cobbled streets or catch a movie at the Kino cinema. The Sussex coastline is particularly stunning with seven miles of golden sand at Camber and fantastic dunes to explore.  Historic Battle is a great place to visit with its ruined Abbey and battlefields plus a wide variety of interesting shops, restaurants and galleries.

Sitting Room and Dining Area is beamed and carpeted with a wood burning stove, a leather sofa and an armchair, a standard lamp, bookcase, TV and DVD.

Kitchen is narrow but perfectly formed with a good range of fitted cupboards, an electric hob,oven and extractor fan, a washing machine, a fridge with a compact ice compartment and a microwave.  The staircase is accessed through a door from the kitchen and has a low thresh hold.

First Floor:

Landing has original beams and banister with a window seat

Bedroom has a low thresh hold, a double bed, bedside tables, a dressing table with mirror, built-in cupboards with hanging space and shelves, a full length mirror and a hair dryer

Bathroom is partially tiled with a bath and a shower attachment, heated towel rail, washbasin and w.c

Garden: There is a lovely enclosed rear garden with a picnic table, separate bench and disposable barbecue

Heating: Electric central heating and a wood burning stove (1st basket of logs provided).

Parking: Private off-road parking for one car in front of property.

Pets:  One small dog only.  Dog towels are provided for drying wet and muddy feet. Please ensure pets do not go into bedrooms or on furniture.  Never leave pets alone in the property. Please clear all evidence of pets from gardens etc. before leaving.

Notes:  Please note that there is no wifi at this property but free wifi is available from The Red Lion, 0.5 miles along the road. The patrons of the pub own The Retreat.
