This beautifully presented cottage, one of a row, is peacefully located in the village of Pilley with the quaint, local village shop only 100 yards away and one of the oldest pubs in Hampshire is less than a 10-minutes walk. It is also just a mile from the popular sailing town of Lymington. Pilley Green Cottage stands inside the New Forest National Park where ponies and cattle wander freely along the roads and even right outside the front door of the cottage.

The Georgian market town of Lymington, 1 mile away, is renowned for its nautical links. It has a marina harbour walk leading to seawater baths and out on to the saltmarshes. Boutiques, cafés, ice cream parlours, pubs and restaurants line the cobbled streets and you can hop on a ferry to the Isle of Wight in 15 minutes. The New Forest is ever popular all year round, and is suitable for all age groups. The unspoilt forest and heathland with wandering ponies and cattle is what it is most known for. Miles of beautiful walks are available, or alternatively the surrounding area can be explored by car or on bicycle via the many cycle paths. Discover some of the villages, towns, attractions and gardens such as the historic priory town of Christchurch, Lyndhurst, The Manorial village of Beaulieu with its magnificent house and gardens, the famous Motor Museum and the marina at Bucklers Hard on the river. Also discover Exbury Gardens nearby and the beautiful Mottisfont House and Gardens (National Trust) near Romsey.

Further afield but well worth a trip is Monkey World, the Tank Museum near Wool, Marwell Zoo, Paultons Park with Peppa Pig World, Highcliffe Castle, Bovington Tank Museum and The Owl and Otter Park and nautical maritime history at Southampton, with retail shopping outlets. Winchester Cathedral is within easy driving distance as well as the Jurrasic coastline at Durdle Door and Corfe Castle. There are many glorious sandy beaches and natural coastline at Bournemouth, Sandbanks and Poole all within a short drive. There are many popular activities in the locality including riding, golf, fishing windsurfing, boating and swimming. When you return to Pilley Green Cottage after a day’s adventure, there’s an outdoor hose for dog washing. Beach 6½ miles. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
