Bembridge is a gorgeous place, voted village of the year by BBC TV’s Countryfile in 2019, based on its ‘wonderful coastal setting with a pier and lifeboat station, plus a busy village community with independent shops, cafés and restaurants’. It is home to the National Trust’s Bembridge Windmill and also has two great beaches perfect for the simple pleasures of building sandcastles, sunbathing, exploring rock pools and crabbing. To really make the most of your time on the coast, you have the added benefit of use of the owner’s family beach hut.

There are numerous attractions across this diamond shaped island for you and your family to discover. In the west you’ll find the famous Needles, with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. To the north you can visit Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence and soak up the history at Osborne House and its gardens, whilst in the south there’s Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK.
