About this Bed and Breakfast

Situated on a quiet road just a two minute walk from the town centre, St George's House is a family run guest house which dates back to 1870. Retaining plenty of period charm, we offer a choice of nine ensuite guest rooms, including family accommodation, and welcome pets by prior arrangement.

Our guest house has a comfortable choice of double, twin and family rooms which are all individually styled and furnished to a high standard. In room facilities include Freeview TV and radio, hospitality trays with tea, coffee and water, complimentary toiletries and fresh towels which are changed daily. 

Breakfast

Our sunny dining room is a delightful place to enjoy breakfast and we serve a range of options for you to choose from. We also provide morning tea, coffee, fruit juices and cereal etc and our dining room can seat up to twenty four people. 

Other Facilities

The bright, sunny guest lounge has a widescreen TV, local papers and is furnished with a traditional fireplace and tasteful decor. To keep you entertained and comfortable, we also provide books, board games, cards, puzzles and a well stocked bar serving a range of both soft and alcoholic drinks. 

Cots and high chairs can be provided for children.

There is free off road car parking and a lock up for bicycles.

Our guest house is set a short walk from the Esplanade, sandy beach, train station and town centre amenities. Enjoy a walk through the Old Village, Shanklin Cline or head out and explore some of the twenty three miles of coastline The Island has to offer. A land train service 'the Shanklin Steamer' can take you to neighbouring Sandown during the peak summer season and local leisure pursuits include paddle boarding, sailing, canoe hire and motorboats.
