Bluebell Byre has a  stunning vaulted ceilings and oak floor throughout. The living space has been very well thought out with a comfy L shaped sofa and tub chair. A  cosy woodburning stove is a focal point  with a basket of logs and kindling provided to enjoy on arrival. The fully equipped kitchen is open plan and all the basic essentials are included just  get in touch if you have any questions on whats available.  The pretty country style double bedroom leads off the lounge and captures the feel of  Bluebell meadow with a fresh blue and white linen. The other bedroom also leads of the seating area and is a twin with natural wood bureau and views out to the private Patio area. Bluebell's bathroom has a wet room style showerr and a beautiful roll top bath perfect for a relaxing bath after a busy day enjoying the many attractions or walks around our cottage. Bluebell Byre is a great example of craftsmanship with its stunning vaulted ceilings and oak floor throughout. The living space has been very well thought out with a cosy woodburning stove as a focal point. It is set in the grounds of our 17th Century Oast which has its own private, fenced (fully dogproof) garden. Bluebell cottage overlooks a well stocked fishing lake, a calming spot where you can try your hand at reeling in the catch of the day!

You can enjoy numerous walks direct from the cottage gate and to local pubs that serve up delicious food and welcome pets. Explore the local gardens at Hole Park and Sissinghurst Castle with its' garden rooms, the magnificent moated castle at Bodiam and a popular weekly Farmer's market in Rolvenden village. Drive to the popular country town of Tenterden, with its eclectic range of shops, restaurants, pubs and antique shops and just a bit further afield are the glorious seven mile stretch of golden sands at Camber - and the historic cinque Port town of Rye.

High Weald Landscape trail

Listed as Kents No 1 walking route this trail can be accessed via a footpath from your gate. The route travels through the unique landscape of the High Weald, the centre of the 16th Century iron industry and still the most wooded area of England. The Trail takes in hop gardens, orchards, villages and historic gardens.

Rye & Camber Sands

Rye & Camber Sands beach is a fantastic day trip and Rye is considered to be one of the prettiest towns in England. Many Independent shops, Great pubs and restaurants to enjoy as well as a short drive or delightful walk to the sand dunes of Camber. An section of the beach is dog friendly and a great favourite with our furry visitors.

Great Maytham Hal

In the 1900s authoress Frances Hodgson Burnet discovered an iron gate covered in Ivy beyond which she glimpsed an overgrown walled garden. This inspired her to write the story The Secret Garden the most famous garden in literature. You can walk in her footstep with a walk through the original secret garden at Great Maytham Hall

Chapeldown Winery

Located just a short drive away is Chapel Down - Kent’s leading wine producer with an award-winning range of sparkling and still wines. While away an afternoon at the Swan restaurant on site that offers seasonal menus paired with their wines or enjoy guided tour of the vineyard and wine tasting experience.

Biddenden Vineyard

Kent’s original vineyard, owned and managed by the Barnes Family. Their world class wines include the exceptional Bacchus Ortega and their Red Love cider is one of our favourite tipples !

Hole Park

Hole Park is one of the best-known gardens in Kent and worthy winner of Visit Kent’s Garden of the Year award. The Barham family have created a wonderful 16 acre garden in a magical parkland setting. Hole Park is also one of the special attractions which make up the Seven Wonders of the Weald. Its also where Toasty Oasty buys its Christmas Trees.

Bodiam Boating Station

If you love messing about on the river then the Bodiam Boating station offers Kayaks, rowing boats and even Sunset cruises in the summer months. Their café on site offers simple delicious meals before and after your adventure.

Tenterden Town

Just 4 miles from Bluebell you will find Tenterden village which is known as the Jewel of the Weald. The tree lined market town offers several bakeries, coffee, craft and antiques shops all in a relaxed setting. On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, Tenterden is also home to a street market packed with local specialities, unique artisan stalls and so much more.
