About this Hotel

Thought to have once been visited by Queen Victoria, the Royal Norfolk Hotel at Sandgate between Hythe and Folkestone sits close to the beach, and is perfect for business, leisure or travel stopovers in the area.  Amenities are extensive, from ample private off street parking to a well stocked bar, function room, sun terrace and in-house restaurant. Regular live music is most weekends, and a delicious range of great value meals are served in the restaurant.  Bar food is also available daily in the bar. 

Pick-up sea fishing trips nearby from the old harbour, and Sandgate is famed for its great watersports including bathing, kitesurfing and jet skiing.  The Leas Cliff Hall, Leas Promenade and bustling Folkestone with its great shopping town centre is within walking distance along Marine Parade.  Well trained pets are welcome for a small additional fee.

Rooms

Guest rooms are all en-suite and include a choice of spacious family rooms sleeping up to four, standard double and twin rooms, and superior double rooms.   Each room includes a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and WiFi.  Optional breakfast is available on request for a small additional fee (half price for children).  Sea view rooms are also available.

Food & Drink

Wine and dine in style in the hotel's restaurant offering a relaxing dining experience, and bistro style cuisine locally sourced where possible. Meal choice includes our fresh stone-baked pizza and pasta meal selection, our rib-eye steaks and join us for our popular Sunday Carvery with a range of roasts available featuring homemade Yorkshire pudding and our own gravy.  The bar is open daily, with WiFi internet access available, a pool table and bar food served. The Sun Terrace is the perfect spot to relax al fresco with drinks and meals on warmer days.  Regular entertainment is hosted on Friday and Saturday nights.

The hotel's light and airy function room seats up to 30 guests and is available to hire for meetings, wedding receptions and all kinds of functions - please do contact us direct to discuss your needs.

Availability

Extra beds can be made available for an additional fee by request.  Pets are welcome for a small fee.  We also welcome single occupancy.
