The Machine Rooms is a lovely holiday home with stunning interiors nestled in the pretty village of Churchill. Formerly a barn and steam mill, this elegant property set over three floors is the perfect choice for a small family or two couples to enjoy a relaxing break in a fabulous part of the Cotswolds.

Once you’ve parked your cars in the available parking spaces, make your way up the patio garden and through the front door which opens into a contemporary, open-plan living area that has lovely wooden flooring and striking exposed beams, decorated to a muted colour palette, ideal for a relaxed evening catching up on your favourite show on the TV from the comfort of the welcoming sofa’s and snuggle seat, with the heat from the woodburning stove warming you on a cold evening.

The well-supplied kitchen has everything you need to cook up a delicious meal before retreating to the wooden dining table to toast to a wonderful holiday that lies before you.

Enjoy evening drinks in the pretty patio area where you are surrounded by pleached Cherry Laurel trees which create an attractive natural screen from the neighbouring cottage, and lovely potted flowers bringing colour into the courtyard.

A choice of two homely, en-suite bedrooms await you upstairs, the master on the first floor has striking exposed beams and features the flue from the woodburning stove downstairs, where you can have a relaxing bath in the en-suite before retreating to your super-king-size bed and catching up on a show on the Smart TV, the second bedroom on the second floor in the eaves has an attractive Velux window, exposed wooden beams and a continuation of the woodburning stove flue, with a welcoming super-king size bed (zip/link, can be twin on request) and an en-suite bathroom, both rooms have ample storage space for you to handy and store you clothing.

The village of Churchill is surrounded by the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with many scenic walks right on the doorstep including the five mile long 'Kingham and Churchill’ walk, as well as being home to an ornate tower, lovely Cotswold stone cottages and a picture-perfect pub, The Chequers, serving locally brewed beer and rustic dishes set within a warming and friendly ambience,

Make a visit to nearby Chadlington where you can indulge in delicious hamburgers, cool draft beers, lagers, ciders and rosé, and also the interesting cow juice, all at Diddly Squat Farm!

The popular village of Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the “Venice of the Cotswolds” due to its quaint low bridges riding over the River Windrush, is home to an array of individual shops and attractions including Birdland Park and Gardens and surround yourself with natural beauty at Greystones Farm & Nature Reserve which is home to wildflower meadows and a working organic farm, offering time out from the hustle and bustle of the village centre, this reserve is open to public all year round and is not to be missed.

Hop over to Burford, where you can visit Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens where you will find over 250 species of animals and be inspired by the beautiful landscaping and seasonal displays throughout the park.
