Conveniently located in a quiet cul de sac between Tuckton and the village of Wick, and within a short stroll of the beautiful River Stour with opportunities for walking, cycling, canoeing, kayaking and boating, the location of Captains Rest is ideal. The award-winning beach of Southbourne is a leisurely 15 minute walk, Boscombe and Bournemouth are easily reached, and popular Hengistbury Head, Mudeford and Christchurch are all close by.

With a comfortable king-size bedroom, and also a twin bedroom with zip and link beds that can be converted to a super-king size bed on request, along with a family shower room, the accommodation is ideal for small families or a couple's break. The property has a sitting room with sofas on which to relax and a television, a conservatory with dining table and chairs overlooking the garden, and a bright modern kitchen. In the south facing level garden there is a games cabin with a table and chairs, loungers, a television and a selection of books and games.

When staying at Captains Rest, guests are spoilt for choice with so many river and beach based activities within easy reach. There are numerous restaurants, cafes and shops in Southbourne, Christchurch, Castlepoint, Boscombe, and Bournemouth with every type of cuisine available. The famous Bournemouth International Centre is an award-winning premier entertainment venue hosting concerts and events throughout the year and just a short drive or bus trip away.

As the river is 500m away from the property, it is ideal for kayaking, paddle boarding, boat hire and river walks.

Property offers off road parking for 2 cars or even a boat and a car.

On the river Stour you can hire a boat, take the ferry to Mudeford Spit or Christchurch where you can walk into town and browse the shops, the various galleries or visit the famous Christchurch Priory.

There are shops, cafes, takeaways and restaurants all within a few minutes walk of the property.
