Perfectly situated overlooking the River Fowey just a stone s throw from the quayside, beach, pubs and village amenities. For a lovely day out hop on the passenger ferry to Fowey and enjoy the independent shops and restaurants on offer or step out onto the beautiful Hall Walk to Bodinnick passing Riverside, Daphne Du Maurier s home or follow the South West Coast Path to Lantic Bay or Lansallos Beach. Further afield there are plenty of places to visit and things to do, why not visit the tall ships at Charlestown, take the brewery tour in St Austell or visit the Eden project and/or the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also, for those interested in stately homes why not visit Lanhydrock in Bodmin. Step inside from the delightful chimney pot terraced street and hang up your outer wear. Head into the beautifully furnished lounge with Danish style armchairs and a comfortable sofa. There are many small winding streets in and around the village, that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display car park at the top of the village. Need to know: 1 bedroom king size. 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Electric oven and hob, coffee machine, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and slimline dishwasher. Utility area with washing machine. Wood burner (first basket of logs included). You can unload your car at the cottage and parking is available in the public car park at the top of the village (charges apply). Beach, pubs and village shop, all within walking distance. Polruan is situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging. Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps/ slopes some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements..
