Nothing says a relaxed break quite like a dip in the pool or a trip to the sauna - and at Linden, you'll enjoy both. The beautiful barn conversion, located in Golant on the picturesque upper reaches of the Fowey River, enjoys shared access to the facilities, which includes a games room, providing a fun family break in the Cornish countryside.

With a nod to its roots, the barn retains its character with exposed beams and wooden finishes throughout. It has been tastefully decorated in neutral colours, with added splashes of colour to provide a slightly contemporary and homely edge that perfectly reflects today's Cornish culture. The open-plan living space is light and airy by day, but at night turns into a cosy cottage once the wood burner is fired up.

Enjoy stunning walks following the river as it meanders downstream, before heading on day trips to the likes of Fowey (4 miles), Mevagissey (13 miles) and Looe and Polperro just over 20 miles each - all offering their own unique charm and attractions. For lunch with a view, head to Charlestown (6 miles), which was featured in the Poldark television series; delicious steak and seafood is a hit with tourists and locals alike. Afterwards, spend the afternoon exploring its quaint quay in the sunshine, perhaps with an ice cream.
