This very well presented detached granite cottage sits back from a main thoroughfare on the outskirts of Helston market town, famed for its annual Flora Dance. The town's facilities are a short walk away, with inns and shops for provisions. Ideal for discovering the beautiful beaches and resorts of Porthleven, Praa Sands and Marazion, Kilden Cottage makes the perfect holiday homestay for couples, friends and families seeking a cottage within easy reach of the coast. The interior boasts a rustic-meets-contemporary vibe with exposed stone walls in a natural finish, wood and flagstone floors and two wood burners for extra cosiness. Socialise in a smart kitchen dining area with space for you and your dog.
The sitting room has leather sofas and restful contemporary features. The three bedrooms are well equipped for storage and complemented by themed interior colours reflecting the coast to support a restful sleep.
The bathroom has a claw-foot roll top bath for extra luxury and separate shower cubicle. Outside, the front and rear garden is enclosed with patio and lawn - perfect for pets and children to play, with BBQ and furniture for alfresco nibbles. Ramblers, surfers, cyclists, garden enthusiasts, golf fans and cuisine lovers will enjoy the attractions close by. National Trust's Penrose Estate, and Loe Pool, Cornwall's largest fresh water lake is a must visit spot. Porthleven has a pretty harbour, eateries, galleries and inns with fresh local fayre. Visit Poldark Mine, Flambards and the Seal Sanctuary. Praa Sands is reached within a 15 minute drive and much loved resort of Marazion and stunning St Michael's Mount is a great place to spend the day. The Lizard Peninsula and postcard perfect St Ives are all within a half hour drive.
Helston lies at the western gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, a large area of downland fringed by a beautiful and spectacular coastline. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west and which tells of the widespread mining heritage of this area. Nestled in a tranquil setting is the National Seal Sanctuary on the Helford River, where there is plenty of entertainment watching seals play and feed. If it is thrill rides that excites you, then Flambards theme park will keep you amused all day and also has excellent living history experiences. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Helston is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family.
