Perfectly located for touring all of Cornwall, this cosy, homely cottage is set in the village of Lanner, part of the rich history of Cornish tin and copper mining 2 miles from the historic town of Redruth. Situated at the end of a quiet narrow lane and surrounded by fields up the log slopes of a wide valley, you will be assured of a peaceful holiday here even in the middle of summer when Cornwall is at it's busiest. Walkers and dog owners will delight in the many walks available straight from the door on the footpaths. Just a mile away there is a viewing point where both north and south coasts can be seen on a clear day is well worth the walk, as are the further afield Carn Marth and Carn Brea. A welcoming traditional Cornish cream tea will be waiting for you on arrival when you enter the cottage after passing through the pretty garden. There are two bedrooms here with an open plan living room with a kitchen, dining and sitting area. A short stroll will take you to the 200 year old Lanner Inn, a traditional Cornish, family run pub with a good local reputation for real ales. With numerous opportunities for walking, cycling, horse riding a touring holiday or short break can be enjoyed at any time throughout the year.

The village of Lanner is welcoming and friendly, with a number of convenience stores, a bakery, several good pubs. Carn Marth overlooks Lanner village from its hilltop location; a former granite quarry, this is now a lovely place for a walk or cycle. Nearby Carn Brea is worth a visit too; here you will find a Medieval castle (now a restaurant), which once belonged to Lord Bassett, the most influential mine owner in the area during the 18th and 19th centuries. The beaches at Portreath and Porthtowan are just a short drive from Lanner, and there are several off-road cycle trails in the area.
