Located in the magical village of Kingsand nestled on Cornwall’s South Coast, the property is within less than 0.5 miles of stunning beaches and a selection of pubs and restaurants. A trip across on the Cremyll Ferry is a must to discover the foodie’s paradise that is Royal William Yard (9 miles) or explore the Barbican area of Plymouth (9 miles) by catching the ferry direct from Cawsand beach. This is the most sheltered beach for paddleboarding and canoeing due to its shallow waters and location. Nearby is the historic Mount Edgcumbe (3 miles) with its 865-acre estate, cafe and gardens. Attractions in the area include the National Marine Aquarium (10 miles, via ferry), The Eden Project (34 miles) and Adrenalin Quarry (14 miles), and the fishing villages of Looe and Polperro (16 miles).
This beautiful period home features large rooms, high ceilings and character in abundance. The grand winding staircase is certainly a focal point of the house. Leading off the entrance hallway is a spectacular lounge with huge, dominating windows and beautiful interior finish. Gather in front of the large, open fireplace, with the Smart TV providing entertainment, or mooch out to the conservatory which offers additional seating and access out to the balcony. Also off this room is a fabulous area with table tennis table and there are impressive views over the bay and beyond – it’s the ideal spot for a yoga session to kick start your morning. The kitchen/dining room is the heart of the home. With its central table and chairs and wonderful AGA to enjoy, it’s a lovely space to sit down and socialise with family and friends. Next door, the cosy snug with stylish interiors, wood burner, Smart TV and plenty of character is a relaxed room in which to sit and enjoy some time out with a coffee. Completing this floor is a wet room and WC. Moving up the fabulous staircase, find six wonderful bedrooms, five of which are king-size and the sixth a twin. The master has stunning views out over the village and sea as well as an en-suite bathroom. The main bathroom completes the property.
Outside you have a large terrace with garden furniture and plenty of seating that overlooks the sea and village of Cawsand. You also have access to a communal garden offering direct access to the village at the bottom, meaning it’s just a five-minute walk to the beach.
