Experience - The Area...
With lovely rural views, this pleasant, quiet and secluded wing of the owners farmhouse is set on Bodrugan Farm; a large family run farm extending along the coast from Portmellon to Gorran Haven. Portmellon is a quiet little cove on the South coast of Cornwall and lies in an area of outstanding natural beauty just a mile from the picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey and close to the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
Boats can be slipped at the small beach at Portmellon where there is also a seasonal waterside pub serving food. A secluded beach at Chapel Point can be reached by footpath through the fields. The Quillet is perfectly situated for the South West Coastal Path and The Eden Project is within easy reach.
Stay - The Accommodation...The reverse layout accommodation is entered from the first floor level where the parking area has ample space for 2 cars. One step leads down to an enclosed and sunny patio with outdoor furniture. A fully glazed front door leads directly into the spacious and bright open plan living room, with a well-equipped fitted kitchen, good sized dining area and comfortable easy seating in front of a decorative stone fireplace with electric flicker fire.
Just off the open plan living area, one step leads up to an inner hallway and large twin bedroom with en-suite shower W.C. and wash hand basin.
Carpeted stairs lead down from the living room to the ground floor hallway where there is a cottage style 5ft double bedroom and large separate family bathroom W.C. with wash hand basin and shower over the bath. A door leads out to a service courtyard where there is a convenient shared utility room with laundry facilities.
Guests have use of the shared heated indoor swimming pool (10 x 4 x 1.2metres) which is open from 8am to 8pm every day and is available for year round use. Use of the sauna is available for a small charge.
