Guests say

Guests consistently praise the property's prime location, spaciousness, and proximity to Fistral Beach and local amenities. The secure parking and pet-friendly garden are also appreciated. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The property is frequently described as clean, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition. However, a few mentions of dog hairs and a long grass garden suggest occasional oversights.

The location is highly commended for its convenience to beaches, town centre, and supermarkets, making it an ideal spot for holidaymakers looking to enjoy Newquay's attractions.

The property is generally found to be spacious and comfortable, with large bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. However, some guests mention hard mattresses and insufficient seating for the number of guests the property can accommodate.

Facilities are well-received with a well-equipped kitchen and garden space. Maintenance issues such as problematic showers, a non-functional dishwasher, and window troubles have been reported, indicating room for improvement.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the property owners or managers, hence a score cannot be provided.

About this property

Ideally located in the heart of Newquay, a short walk from the town's many attractions and beaches. This comfortable holiday home is set within the gated development of Bredon Court, which adjoins Newquay Golf Course, overlooking the world-famous surfing hotspot Fistral beach. Enter through the porch into the sitting room with two large, cosy sofas. The kitchen/diner looks out on to the rear enclosed garden, offering a chance for some alfresco dining after a day spent on one of the many beaches in the area. There are three spacious bedrooms here; a double, a twin and a large triple, which along with the bathroom are all on the first floor.

A great selection of beaches, a golf course, shops, pubs and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. Fistral, the most famous beach here, is also the closest, a short stroll and you will be watching the surf that has hosted World Championships, with the opportunity of trying the exhilarating sport yourself. The rooms were large, the beds were very comfortable with quality furniture and bedding. The kitchen was very well laid out it had everything we needed, again good quality units, dishwasher, washing machine and superb outside space. Just a short walk to the beach and centre, we were very happy with this property and would recommend it to anyone. I could go on but safe to say there was everything we needed and more. Thank you to the owners for our stay. The only issue we had was getting in the gates, as did everyone we spoke to on the secure gated site.

However the property felt sterile and was devoid of any character - inside and out. Outdoors, the grass was in need of cutting and the gate would not bolt/line up (only latched) making it insecure for boards etc. There was no hose to rinse off with, only a tap (despite signs asking for sand not to be taken into the house/shower) and not one plant/pot in sight. The house is top heavy - whilst the property sleeps 7 there is only one bathroom/shower with very little room downstairs. The 2 x two-seater sofas need to be replaced by a large corner sofa for comfort and the TV needs upgrading to a smart TV offering guests the opportunity to sign into Prime, Netflix etc. Laminated signs are dotted around the house with 'do's and don'ts' which could be covered easily in the welcome folder, some family games would have been appreciated as would an individual welcome pack.
