Treat yourself to a meal out in one of many nearby eateries such as The Weary Friar Inn, which is a traditional country inn serving a bar menu of pub classics and a courtyard for the warmer evenings, or head across the A38 into Landrake where you can got to The Bullers Arms for some food and drink, with a post office and village shop also close by. For activities while at the dwelling, why not visit Cornish Maize Maze and Fun Farm, a delightfully fun day out at the Smeaton Farm's beautiful grounds. A scenic car journey will bring you to Polperro Model Village, where you can view the enchanting model village and learn of the myths and legends in the area, this quirky attraction has been popular with tourists for over 60 years. If basking in nature is your ideal day out, visit The Golitha Falls, a series of cascading waterfalls running through woodlands; the area is a National Nature Reserve and has also been registered a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its woodland flora. Within easy reach of the property is the marvellous Cornish coast; less than 10 miles from the barn is Downderry Beach, a shingle beach with rock pools and a good pub nearby, or for a sandy beach nestled among rocky cliffs, Bovisands Beach is slightly further afield.
