This charming and cosy end-terrace cottage lies in the heart of St Agnes in Cornwall and offers a couple or family of three a well-placed property from which to discover the north Cornwall coast, with a host of amenities on your doorstep and the closest beach within a mile's walk. Step inside Sweetpea Cottage to discover a vintage, shabby chic style living/dining room, with white painted floorboards, colourful Kilim rugs and a choice of sofa and armchairs placed around the TV and lovely gas fire, which adds a warmth to this homely space. There is a folding dining table, where you can sit and enjoy meals together, or you can make use of the breakfast bar area in the stylish, bright kitchen, with cream units, wooden worktops and integrated amenities, supplying you with everything you could need to cook up delicious meals, while the utility room provides a washing machine for any sandy or wet clothes from a day at the beach. The part-tiled bathroom has a shower over bath and a heated towel rail for added comfort, while upstairs you will find two bedrooms; a master double bedroom under the eaves and a single bedroom, ideal for a child. Outside there is a small area, ideal for storing bikes or surfboards, plus parking is available at a public car park just down the road. the property backs onto a public park, which offers plenty of space for dog walks and for children to run around. There are several amenities, including pubs, restaurants and supermarket, a short walk away, while the centre of St Agnes also offers a host of shops, selling local produce, tasty treats, gifts and unique art, with events and gigs held in the town all-year-round. St Agnes has a rich mining heritage, which is evident at the St Agnes Museum, while walkers can enjoy pretty footpaths and bridleways, or jump on the South West Coast Path in either direction to enjoy superb coastal views.Choose from four glorious, sandy beaches, offering superb Atlantic surfing conditions, as well as swimming and other activities like body boarding, including the lovely, family-friendly Trevaunance Cove and unspoilt Chapel Porth Beach. St Agnes is in the heart of Poldark country, with a picturesque landscape made famous by the novels and BBC TV series. From the town, you can easily access the popular coastal town of Newquay, considered to be the surfing capital of the UK, as well as a host of other fantastic beaches along the north Cornwall coast, including Perranporth, Crantock and Fistral. Cornwall's only city, Truro, is a short drive away, with its Victorian Gothic cathedral that overlooks the river, while renowned attractions of Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are an easy car journey away. Sweetpea Cottage is a fantastic retreat for exploring the north Cornwall coast.
The picturesque village of St Agnes lies on north Cornwall's Atlantic coast, with a selection of four beaches, ideal for surfing and watersports, as well as being surrounded by wonderful countryside. Swim or surf in the clear waters, walk the footpaths and bridleways or hop onto the South West Coast Path. Coasteering, kayaking and horse riding are all available locally, and St Agnes has a regular programme of events and gigs for all the family to enjoy. The local shops offer an interesting selection of produce, from tasty treats to one-off pieces of art, and there is a superb range of dining choices with two Great Cornish Food Awards in 2015. St Agnes also has a rich mining heritage, which can be explored at the St Agnes Museum. The beaches at Newquay, Tate at St Ives, Truro Cathedral at Truro and the world-famous Eden Project are all within easy reach. St Agnes is also in the heart of Poldark Country, the landscapes made famous by the novels and TV series’, the most recent of which was broadcast in Spring 2018.
