With sea views this dormer bungalow on the outskirts of Mevagissey, set in a quiet area overlooking a grassy common and a sea view of St. Austell Bay. This family-sized holiday cottage has a sitting room with sea views, a well-fitted kitchen with a breakfast area and three bedrooms, two of them benefiting from sea views. This Mevagissey cottage has a sunny courtyard garden and easy access to the coastal path which runs within yards of the cottage, meaning that Polstreath Beach can be reached by a short walk. Mevagissey harbour is just a five minute walk away from this lovely Cornwall cottage and visitors will find plenty to amuse the family, including an aquarium, a model railway centre, shops and cafa's and of course the hustle and bustle of a traditional Cornish working harbour. There are plenty of attractions within an easy drive of this Mevagissey cottage including, Caerhays Castle, the UK's only mining heritage centre at Wheal Martyn, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Charlestown Shipwreck and Heritage Centre. Of course, Cornwall is also home to many safe, clean beaches and cosy welcoming pubs, making this Mevagissey cottage a wonderful base for an active family holiday.
With its cobbled streets and a harbour full of boats, the little town of Mevagissey is the epitome of a Cornish fishing village. This lovely settlement boasts stunning walks leading along the coast in both directions, dotted with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village itself provides a number of excellent pubs and restaurants whist close by are numerous attractions such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the ferry ride from Mevagissey to Fowey, which runs daily between Easter and September. With the addition of the Tall Ships harbour and shipwreck museum at Charlestown and the world famous Eden Project, this is a diverse and fascinating location. With a stunning coastline with fabulous surfing facilities, this area has something to suit all tastes and budgets.
