Set in peaceful countryside Chy Dama Wyn is a lovely cottage with a traditional interior and a large garden and parking. It is just a short drive from the beautiful village of Lerryn.

Chy Dama Wyn is set in Couch's Mill, a peaceful hamlet about a mile from the popular riverside village of Lerryn. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside belonging to the Boconnoc estate that was once owned by William Pitt. The nearest shop is in the village which spreads along both banks of Lerryn creek and messing about on the river is a big part of local life. It was here that Kenneth Graham based Wind in the Willows and the tales of Ratty and Mole on the riverbanks, overshadowed by Ethy Manor (Toad Hall) on the hillside above the village. The Ship Inn serves delicious local food and is a great place for an evening beer. Lostwithiel is 3 miles away and offers a wider range of shops. Chy Dama Wyn is a charming old stone cottage which many years ago served as the village shop. It has now been carefully modernised to provide very comfortable and characterful accommodation. The Lerryn River forms the boundary at the end of the garden. Because there is no light pollution, the garden can be a great place for star gazing.

Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am

Power and Heat: Oil and electricity included in rent; oil fired c.h., electric woodburner in lounge.

Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided (please bring your own beach towels).
