Relax after a day exploring in the big, mostly lawned garden surrounded by Cornish banks and fence with plenty of space for youngsters to let off steam. There are wonderful woods to roam, rich in bluebells throughout spring, or head for the superb, sandy beach at Crackington Haven 9 miles away. If you fancy a touch of retail therapy, good shops and restaurants abound in Launceston (7 miles), where you can also play golf, and Bude (15 miles), both a pleasant drive through countryside away. Treburtle Cottage is a very quiet and superbly relaxing spot handily placed for exploring this delightful part of Cornwall at any time of the year.
