Goodleigh is an excellent year-round holiday destination whether you want to relax or have an adventure. It's something of a paradise for walkers, ramblers and hikers with local footpaths leading to beauty spots like Coddon Hill, Holdstone Hill, and through the Taw Estuary. Those who want to go further afield can enjoy The Torrs and Slade Reservoirs, Baggy Point, and coastal walks around Ilfracombe and Croyde. Cyclists can take North Devon's scenic country lanes along National Cycle Route 27, which goes from Ilfracombe to Plymouth. The mostly traffic-free Tarka Trail is suitable for pedestrians and cyclists, and there's a wealth of fantastic footpaths and trails nearby in Exmoor National Park. Surfing, paddle boarding and swimming are only 12 miles away at Saunton Sands. Golf and fishing are also readily accessible within a short drive of the cottage.

During your stay at Goodleigh Cottage, you can hire a bike and ride for miles cross country or jump on a quad bike for motorised fun. Book a seat on a sea-safari from Ilfracombe, go shopping in Barnstaple or spend lazy days on beautiful beaches like Croyde and Barricane. North Devon attractions include The Big Sheep, RHS Gardens Rosemoor, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, and Exmoor Zoo. Lynton, Lynmouth, Clovelly, and Abbotsham Cliffs are all just over half an hour's drive away, opening up the potential for more memorable days out.

Goodleigh Cottage is a modern holiday home, beautifully finished and furnished to a very high standard throughout. Accommodation is over two levels.

Upstairs:

An upside-down layout makes the most of fantastic views, creating a light, spacious living area with a vaulted ceiling and separate spaces for relaxing, eating and cooking. It's a social area for relaxed cooking and dining, film and game nights, or simply catching up over a bottle of wine from a North Devon vineyard.

Cooks love the efficient layout and high-quality appliances in the kitchen, which features a double sink, dishwasher, wall-mounted oven and an island with an induction hob. There are three upholstered stools around the island where guests can sit and keep the cook company, passing dishes over to the long dining table on the other side.

Deep sofas at the other end of the upper floor encourage guests to put their feet up and relax with gorgeous countryside views. The Smart TV has Freeview channels, and there is also a games console and board games for screen-free fun. French doors open onto the private deck at the side of the house.

Downstairs:

Master bedroom with rural views, a king-sized sleigh bed, chest of drawers and a wardrobe. It has a lovely ensuite with a shower, WC and a handbasin.

Spacious double room with more countryside views, proper storage, and bedside tables with reading lights.

Twin bedroom with two full-sized single beds and decor that suits adults or children. There is lots of storage in the large chest of drawers, and a Smart TV.

Big family bathroom with a bath, rainfall shower, WC and a handbasin.

Outside: A private deck encompasses the entire length of the house. It has smart rattan seating, a dining table and chairs, and a fun climbing wall. The space is ideal for enjoying outdoor meals.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are all included. Guests to bring beach towels if they are required. Well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement. Smoking is not permitted. The cottage has a washer/dryer.
