This cosy ground floor apartment is situated in a convenient central location in the popular seaside village of Lynmouth, a stones throw from the pretty harbour and small cafes and shops. This is an ideal base for walkers and cyclists exploring Exmoor and the spectacular North Devon Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A cast-iron gate opens from the street into an attractive cloistered, stone paved patio area with table and chairs and standing space for bicycles. The front door opens into a cosy open plan living room, with attractive quarry tiled wall with a slate hearth housing a woodburner, ideal for cosy winter evenings after a bracing walk on the cliffs. The small kitchen and neat foldaway dining table provide adequate space for a cosy meal in. There is a king-size double bedroom, a small twin room and shower room shared by all. The front patio is an ideal spot for planning the day ahead, with a cuppa and map of Exmoor in hand, and there are a number of good eateries and cafes in the village just a short stroll from the flat. The beautiful River Lyn provides fabulous picturesque walks with the dog to Watersmeet, where there is a NT tea room and visitor centre. The River Lyn has an interesting history which will be revealed when you visit, and runs into the pretty harbour where there is plenty to see and lots of souvenirs to buy. Take a ride to the charming village of Lynton on the water-operated cliff railway; the views on the train journey are truly breathtaking. A walk to the spectacular setting of the Valley of Rocks, which is about a mile walk from Lynton, where you may meet the resident herd of goats, is a must. This well-located holiday apartment provides a fabulous opportunity to visit coast and moorland combined.
The village of Lynmouth is situated at the foot of the Exmoor hills and offers restaurants, tea rooms and pubs. There are plenty of attractions in the area, including National Trust properties and harbour towns and villages.
