Sleeping up to 6 people, Hillcrest is a spacious, semi-detached four bedroomed cottage. Patio doors to upper and lower balconies at the rear of the property offer charming views down the valley and the front of the property enjoys stunning estuary views.   Hillcrest sits at the top of the headland, so enjoys great views with good access to the beaches of East Portlemouth and Millbay via the public footpath steps or a more gentle descent via the winding coastal road. Hillcrest has been a much-loved family holiday home for years.  With the bustling holiday town of Salcombe just a 2 minute foot ferry ride across the estuary, Hillcrest is sure to be popular with families and friends looking to explore this wonderful area. 

The village itself has a café, the fabulous Port Waterhouse, with pop up dining events and a bar open seasonally, and some fabulous sandy beaches along with direct access to the South West Coast Path. A very scenic 2 mile walk takes you to The Gara Rock Hotel, serving delicious food with some of the best scenery a restaurant could provide, plus a spa and cinema room. The bustling market town of Kingsbridge is a 25 minute drive away, with shops, pubs, eateries and a cinema and in the other direction along the picturesque coastal road is the historic Naval town of Dartmouth, again well serviced with amenities. This popular location along with this fantastic property have all the ingredients for an idyllic holiday come rain or shine.

    We cannot recommend this property highly enough. Beautiful setting with fantastic sea views. Very well equipped - we had everything we needed. Plenty of space inside and out. Ideal property during C19 as each floor could be separated into individual apartments making it completely safe and compliant with the current government regulations regarding social distancing. The property was spotlessly clean. Don’t be put off by the mention of only 3 parking spaces IF you’re renting the whole property; we had 5 cars in total and there was still room for another couple - it would only be difficult if each apartment was rented under separate bookings. Absolutely perfect and will definitely be rebooking. It would be a lovely place to enjoy a family Christmas. Thank you.
