This delightful apartment for two nestles on the edge of a sandy beach in Teignmouth, offering sun-soaked and scenic accommodation to couples seeking a romantic seaside getaway. With the beach at your feet and Teignmouth’s centre only 300 metres away, guests are perfectly positioned for bucket-and-spade days and exploring the town and surrounding villages. Enjoy walks along the promenade and Teignmouth’s Victorian pier or join the dramatic South West Coast Path which passes the property.
Have fun on the mini-golf course and the seaside pier, visit the local theatre/cinema and look out for the town’s regular music events. Eat out in a great choice of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Set on the other side of the River Teign, accessed via a bridge or foot ferry from Teignmouth, the village of Shaldon offers plenty of charming pubs and two pretty beaches, one of which is accessed via a historic smugglers’ tunnel. Popular destinations beyond Teignmouth include the famous English Riviera (6 miles) and Dartmoor National Park (12.5 miles).
Walk into the lounge/kitchen/diner of your riverside retreat and be struck by the amazing and ever-changing views across the water. The interior of this light-filled apartment is stylish and appealing, with whitewashed walls and a marine colour palette that creates a charming nautical theme. Drink in the sights from the comfortable sofas, and on chilly nights, light the flame-effect electric fire and flick on the Smart TV. When stomachs begin to rumble, move over to the kitchen space and find all that’s needed to cook up a seaside feast for two, and gather at the round dining table to enjoy the chef’s work. On sunny days, you can take your plates out to the terrace for a scenic, al fresco meal together. Completing the ground floor is a well-appointed shower room. At the end of each busy day, climb the stairs to the first floor and find the bedroom with a sumptuous king-size bed. With a Smart TV, this is the best spot for recharging and enjoying lazy mornings under the covers. If you’d rather sleep down on the ground floor, you’ll find there is a 4’ fold up double bed for use if required.
Outside, accessed from the lounge, a small private beachside terrace awaits with outdoor furniture, offering the best spot for sun-soaked morning coffees and sea-view al fresco dinners. There is a mooring trot on the beach directly outside the property that could be used (at guests own risk) for a small boat or kayak, the use of this is to be arranged with the property owner. Private parking for one small car is available and there are pay and display car parks close by.
