From here, head through to the welcoming lounge where there’s lots of sofa space to sit in front of the Smart TV and watch a movie. You’ll find everything you need to prepare tasty fare in the traditional kitchen and a handy washing machine; there’s also a family shower room on the ground floor. The property has three bedrooms. On the first floor, you’ll find a double with an additional day bed, a bunk room, and a bathroom, with a handy separate WC. Up on the second floor, sits the final bedroom – a charming double. On warm days, sit outside in the enclosed patio courtyard at the front of the cottage.

Wander around and explore the town’s cafes, pubs, and restaurants, uncover the Appledore’s maritime history at the North Devon Maritime Museum, and discover the town’s many art galleries and gift shops. Walk along the two miles of golden sands of Westward Ho! beach, build sandcastles and go surfing (3 miles). Take boat trip to Lundy Island from Bideford (3.5 miles), home to wild ponies, puffins, and stunning scenery. Kids will enjoy an exciting day out at The Big Sheep Farm and Theme Park (4 miles) and the Milky Way Adventure Park (11 miles).
