This aptly named cottage has beautiful views overlooking the water to Northam Burrows and beyond to Braunton Burrows and the golden sands at Saunton in the far distance.  Situated on one of Appledore's ancient narrow streets, Waterside Cottage is in a great location to make the most of the village amenities and is perfectly placed to enjoy the views at the same time. Small shops, cafes and characterful inns are scattered through the winding streets and along the quay and are all an easy stroll away. More shops and restaurants are available within 5 minutes drive at the historic port town of Bideford which is also the jumping off point for ferries to the island of Lundy. Just two hours off the coast Lundy lies within a protected Maritime Conservation Zone and makes a wonderful summer boat trip. Surfers will enjoy the wide beach at Westward Ho! and walkers will love the magnificent coastal walks stretching along the cliffs at Hartland. Golf and horse riding are available nearby and Skern Lodge offers a good range of outdoor activities for all ages just 5 minutes up the road by car.  Once a fisherman's home, Waterside Cottage is a cosy holiday retreat and the perfect place to come back to after a day out exploring. There are three bedrooms, two on the first floor  and a second floor bedroom directly accessed by steep staircase. Two of the bedrooms have windows looking out to sea. The lounge has an open fire and an archway leads through to a bright and pretty kitchen/diner. French doors will entice guests out to the small and private, white - washed patio directly above the water, the perfect place to soak up the sunsets. 

Accommodation: Ground floor: Living room with open fire (fuel available locally and not included) and TV/ DVD. Kitchen/diner with electric cooker, fridge and microwave. Shower room with shower cubicle, WC, and basin. First floor: Bedroom 1 with Double. Bedroom 2 with Single. Second Floor: Bedroom 3 with Single.

Unrestricted roadside parking and car park 100m with weekly permits available. No short breaks. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday.
