Guests have consistently praised the cottage for its tranquillity, cosiness, and warm welcome from the owners. The property is appreciated for its woodland outlook, birdlife, and proximity to walks, despite some minor concerns over Wi-Fi strength and TV reception. The comfort and cleanliness are well-regarded, making it a sought-after retreat in Dartmoor.
The cottage is repeatedly described as spotless and well-maintained, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that guests appreciate.
The location is celebrated for its beautiful setting and direct access to walks, although the weak Wi-Fi signal, due to the rural setting, is noted.
Reviewers find the beds very comfortable and the cottage cosy and warm, contributing to a relaxing stay. However, a suggestion for a grab handle in the shower indicates room for improvement for the less mobile.
Facilities are generally praised, including a well-stocked kitchen and good storage, though comments about the need for baking trays and a HDMI cable for the DVD player suggest some areas could be enhanced.

Between Moretonhampstead and Two Bridges, Postbridge is located in the centre of Dartmoor close to the East Dart River. It is a gorgeous place to explore Dartmoor's heritage and features one of the best clapper bridges in the country, which is said to have been built during the Middle Ages and would have likely replaced stepping stones to help packhorses cross the river. Postbridge is ideally situated to take advantage of a variety of activities. The area has great walking and cycling paths in the nearby Bellever Forest, as well as several archaeological relics such roundhouses, stone rows, and burial cysts. From here, you may also see the ruins of Powdermills, a 19th-century gunpowder factory that made powder for the nearby quarries and mines. This area is well-connected by car to well-liked tourist destinations like Okehampton and Plymouth, making it a getaway destination to savour.
