With the vast moorland of Dartmoor (7 miles) to explore, you’ll find a whole host of activities, from wild swimming and the mysterious walk in Wistman’s Woods (16 miles), to stand-up paddleboarding and waterfall watching. For a taste of life in the Ocean City, visit Plymouth (14 miles) for a swim at the Lido, to find an array of eateries and to explore the Hoe. Alternatively, make for the coast and spend a day on the beach of Whitsand Bay (16 miles) to delve into rock pools to take a dip in the clear blue waters.
