This lovely one bedroom lodge has a hot tub, countryside views and a wood burner, making it an ideal retreat at any time of year.. 5 steps to entrance. All on the ground floor.

Living area: With wood burner, 32" Freeview Smart TV, Alexa Smart speaker and Bi-folding doors leading to garden.
Dining area.
Kitchen area: With gas oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
Bedroom: With kingsize bed and 24" Freeview Smart TV.
Shower room: With walk-in shower, toilet and heated towel rail.. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and logs for wood burner included. Doggy extras. External utility room with washing machine. Enclosed garden with sitting-out area, garden furniture and barbecue. Hot tub for 5 (private). 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: No children under 18 years. There is an unfenced stream in the garden.. Located in the unspoilt North Devon countryside between Okehampton and Great Torrington, Tythecombe Stargazing Retreat is somewhere to escape to and enjoy all the countryside has to offer. A host of fantastic amenities are offered to give you the tranquil trip that you deserve.
Begin your exploration of this unique holiday home as you walk into the cosy and inviting open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The well equipped kitchen has all mod cons and the dining table is the perfect space for enjoying a home-cooked meal for two. The woodburner, corner sofa and 32” smart TV offer a relaxing sanctuary to relax in after a busy day exploring the Devonshire countryside.
The spacious and beautifully presented bedroom has a king-size bed with a dressing table, wardrobe, 24” smart TV and a sky light above the bed which is perfect for stargazing at night. The adjacent shower room has a walk-in rain shower and luxurious fittings.To top off this beautiful property, there is a luxurious five-seater hot tub on the private decking area, a fire pit with barbeque grill, plenty of outdoor seating in a large private enclosed garden for guests to enjoy. There is a utility room accessed from the decked area which houses a washing machine which guests would have sole use of.
Up to two dogs are welcome to stay in the property for no additional charge. A luxury welcome pack, dressing gowns and slippers will be provided and the property has an off-road allocated parking space. Please note children are not allowed to stay.There are numerous walks directly from the lodge into the countryside and neighbouring estate. The Tarka Trail for great cycling and walking is 2 miles away. The village of Merton is half a mile from the lodge and here you will find The Malt Scoop Inn. Other nearby recommended pubs are The Bull and Dragon in Meeth and The Globe in Beaford.
Tythecombe Stargazing Retreat is ideally suited to explore the charming north Devon coast and countryside. There are stunning beaches at Woolacombe and Sandymouth, and you can enjoy a day out at Hartland and visit the lighthouse, Hartland Quay and the historic fishing village at Clovelly. The towns of Great Torrington and Bideford lie close by, where you will find most amenities and at Bideford’s quay you can book a trip to Lundy Island, and slightly further afield there is Dartmoor National Park.
Beach lovers will delight in the wide sandy beaches, the nearest being the lovely beaches at Instow and Westward Ho!. If gardens are of interest, you will find the RHS gardens at Rosemoor a delight and close by is the Dartington Crystal Factory. There are numerous National Trust properties in the surrounding area to enjoy, including Arlington Court and Castle Drogo. Cycle hire on the Tarka Trail can be arranged at Great Torrington and there is golf, fishing and horse riding all available locally. Beach 14 miles. Shop and pub ½ mile

There are 5 steps from the roadside and parking area down to the decking area where the front door is.
There is a small unfenced brook running the length of the garden
