Milton Mills cottage is actually two-cottages converted into one making it a unique holiday home suitable for family gathering or friends looking for a retreat to the countryside with children. With a choice of activities and games for little ones including a wooden cot and high chair in the property with a lot of toys and outdoor games the children need never be bored.

The two cottages are linked with an upstairs and downstairs passageway with two stairs to the first floor leading to all bedrooms. The twin single room has a walkthrough spare double room with a wooden cot leading to another double room. There is one bathroom on the ground floor and one shower room on the first floor for your convenience.

Curl up on the sofa and enjoy a good read in the evening before retiring to bed or just think about the history of the place that dates back centuries. If you enjoy exploring and getting to know a bit of history the village of Milton Abbas will have a few stories to tell. Milton Abbey, the site of an Abbey since 933 where the current Abbey dates from around 1309 is around a half a mile walk from the village.

Running through the centre of the village are rows of white-washed thatched cottages, stretching up the hill to the horizon and arguably one of the prettiest streets in Dorset. A leisurely stroll up the hill will reward you with a visit to the popular Hambro Arms, a pet and child friendly pub serving a variety of meals and traditional ales. A post office also supplies basic groceries.

A short drive away is the market town of Blandford Forum and as well as being good for shopping it is notable for its attractive Georgian architecture which was erected when it was mostly rebuilt after a fire in 1731.

Milton Abbas is a village and civil parish in the county of Dorset in South West England. It is in the North Dorset district, about five miles south-west of Blandford Forum and 11 miles north east of Dorchester. There is a pub and tea room in the village. Every two years a historic country fair takes place in Milton Abbas where the locals celebrate the rebuilding of their village. It attracts thousands of visitors and recreates village life from the 18th century with various stalls, traditional music, dancing, farmers market and much more.
