Frome Lodge House is situated near the county town of Dorchester. The property, which is set back from the A37, overlooks the Frome River Water Meadow and is perfect couples or a small family. It is located outside the town adjacent to the Old Sherborne Road. Dorchester is around a mile away and has a great combination of shopping, historical and visitor attractions. A traditional high street peppered with well-known shops is complemented by lanes accommodating charming boutique shops and independents. The town boasts more than four museums including one dedicated to dinosaurs and another to teddy bears. The beautiful Borough Gardens have tennis courts, play area and band stand. Other 'must dos' in and around Dorchester include Maiden Castle and an original Roman Townhouse. Adjacent to the property is countryside walk / cycle lane. Stroll in one direction and you will soon arrive at the Sun Inn at Charminster, a popular pub with families and locals which serves good food. Stroll in the other direction and you will reach the river path which leads to the bottom of Dorchester centre. Around 10 miles away is the coast at Weymouth which boasts a long and sandy beach along with traditional beach entertainments such as donkey rides and punch and Judy.
