Tudor Cottage in Lyme Regis is praised for its prime location, cosy atmosphere, and convenient parking. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bedding, with several returning for multiple stays. The property's proximity to the beach and town amenities is a highlight, though some guests suggest improvements in lounge comfort and maintenance.
Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the cottage clean and well-presented, while others noted issues with odours, dirty carpets, and mould. The cleaning standards appear to vary, impacting the overall experience.
The location receives high praise for being close to the seafront, town amenities, and quiet despite its central position. The convenience of the location is consistently highlighted as a major positive aspect of the property.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, especially the bedding and en-suite bathrooms. However, some guests mention uncomfortable lounge furniture and a need for better quality mattresses, suggesting room for improvement in this area.
Facilities are appreciated, particularly the well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of parking spaces. Some guests suggest adding shower attachments and improving the lounge seating. Maintenance issues like boiler problems and lighting were promptly addressed, indicating good responsiveness to guests' needs.
There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as it relates to gifts or special touches provided by the hosts. No reviews mention gifts, so it cannot be confirmed whether this is a consistent feature of the property.

Comfy furnishings. Excellent to have off road parking though the spaces are very tight. Ideal for up to 4 but not enough living space for 6 (given that there are 3 good en-suite bedrooms). Tudor cottage is in an excellent location very close to the sea front.

Bars, restaurants, shops , museums, and the beach are all close at hand and parking is off road just behind the property. We have not stayed in Lyme Regis (or visited) before and it way exceeded our expectations. Everyone we met was so helpful and friendly we were blown away. The property is well maintained and quirky with excellent facilities. The welcome pack was a very pleasant surprise and much appreciated. We couldn't visit without fossil hunting on the beach and had some finds. The fossil shops and museums were excellent and very interesting. All in all an excellent choice. A couple of minor maintenance issues, the outside light on the end of the sitting room wasn't working and thus the lighting of the outside stairs was poor, and the windows in the downstairs double bedroom/bathroom had swollen and couldn't be opened , so there was a lot of condensation in the mornings.
