Situated on the Isle of Portland, just a few moments from the acclaimed Chesil Beach, Langham Cottage is a traditional style terraced house with magnificent views out to sea.  Recently refurbished by the current owners, this charming cottage has a sunny kitchen / breakfast room and a master bedroom and lounge with far reaching sea views.  Leaving the cottage, walk through the lanes down to the beach and here you may choose to fish, beachcomb or just enjoy the wonderful scenery.  If visiting in the early evening do try and catch the sunset as they are often spectacular when viewed from Chesil Beach.  Nestled next to Chesil Beach and recommended by previous guests for dining are The Cove House Inn and Quiddles.  A short walk away are a supermarket, pub and shops.  Around a 15 minute walk away is The National Sailing Academy, making Langham a perfect base for water sports enthusiasts.    To explore Portland take the South West Coastal Path which leads you all around the exterior of the island taking in the rugged landscape, old quarries and famous Portland Bill Lighthouse.   The nearby town of Weymouth, just a short bus or car journey away welcomes guests with a long and sandy beach, traditional beach entertainments and a vibrant town centre.
