Heading out of The Maltings walk along the coast path to the Nothe Fort or the ruined castle at Sandsfoot is very revitalizing. Nearby the Newton’s Cove homes its secret rock pools found which capture the imagination of young and old alike. For the less energetic take a seat on the benches on offer where you can read the days newspaper or just look across the bay to Portland. The beautiful sands at Weymouth are around a 10 minute walk along the hustle and bustle of the old harbour.
If you wish to explore further afield then why not take a trip on the ‘Coaster’ bus to Abbotsbury or Lyme Regis. Stopping off for a tasty Dorset ice cream on the way and admiring the stunning coastal views whatever the weather.

Alternatively, just head down to West Bay - the views of the stunning Dorset Heritage Coastline are not to be missed!
