A legacy of the Olympic Games, the National Sailing School is only two miles away on the edge of Portland Harbour and offers a wide range of water activities. The Fleet Lagoon, which connects Wyke Regis and Chesil Beach, is a significant place for wildlife. Several bird species may be spotted there, and Chesil Beach is also a well-known location for fishing.
