Formerly known as Paddock House, The Tallet is a charming, detached cottage, next to the owners' home, with upside down accommodation and hot tub, set on the outskirts of the ancient village of Blakeney and the south-east edge of the Forest of Dean. This romantic retreat has a charming ground floor bedroom offering a sumptuous double bed and an en-suite shower room, complete with underfloor heating. Make your way up the wrought iron and wooden spiral staircase to the first floor open plan living accommodation where youll find a modern kitchen with exposed stone wall, a dining area and a sitting area with a wide window, level with the floor, offering lovely views towards the River Severn. Through the door from the living area is a patio with furniture, ideal for alfresco dining or a relaxing dip in the hot tub after a day exploring the area, where you can take in the charming views of the surrounded countryside. Walks to the Forest of Dean can be enjoyed from the doorstep, or why not take a stroll to the village of Blakeney, enjoy a drink in the village pub or sample a treat of local fish and chips? Nearby visits to Clearwell Caves, Littledean Jail or Symonds Yat Rock can all be discovered, meaning theres something for everyone in this delightful area. The pretty riverside towns of Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye are also close by. A delightful cottage for a romantic holiday to remember. The ancient village of Blakeney lies on the southeast edge of the Royal Forest of Dean and was once a site of a Roman Villa dating back to 75AD. The village boasts many 16th and 17th century buildings, with a charming 16th century coaching inn, and boasts many amenities including a fish and chip shop, village store and Post Office, as well as numerous walks and cycle routes.
