For additional retail therapy, venture to the market town of Yeovil (10 miles), or the county town of Taunton (22 miles). Explore the famous Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site for fossil hunting on Charmouth beach or visit Lyme Regis, Dorset's iconic seaside town (both 17 miles), or Bridport with its twice weekly market (11 miles). There is a choice of country walks, cycle routes and golf at Cricket St Thomas (7.5 miles). Visit Forde Abbey (8 miles) and Montacute House (9.5 miles) and perhaps go to the Quantock Hills or the nature reserves on the Somerset Levels.
