Offering a wonderfully tranquil location, The Sandy House is situated in beautiful Leiston in the heart of Suffolk. Perfect for a family holiday, the property benefits from both private parking and ample gardens and yet is within walking distance of an excellent range of amenities. The sitting room is especially inviting with a warm and welcoming seating area and tasteful furnishings helping to create a relaxing ambience which is mirrored throughout the house. The kitchen/diner is really big and spacious with an extensive fully fitted kitchen adjoining a light and airy dining area, which is next to attractive patio doors opening onto the gardens, which allow an extra space for dining if the weather allows it. When it’s time for bed, there are three beautifully appointed bedrooms which are all tastefully furnished and offer a relaxing sanctuary after a hard day of exploring. Getting out and about is so easy from The Sandy House with the delightful town of Leiston close by and just a few miles from the coast making towns like Southwold, Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, all within easy reach. RSPB Minsmere is nearby and well worth a visit too. Jump in the car and head to attractions a little further afield including Snape Maltings, home to the famous Aldeburgh Music Festival, Framlingham Castle, Go Ape Thetford, Sutton Hoo, Orford Ness Nature Reserve and Africa Alive Zoological Reserve. Enjoying a superb location and boasting delightfully presented accommodation, a stay at The Sandy House promises to be memorable.
Leiston is located in the heart of the Suffolk Heritage Coast and offers excellent links to the popular seaside towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh. The town thrived by manufacturing steam tractors, and cast and machined metal products, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The town is now home to many of the workers of the nearby power plant, Sizewell, and is served well by an active leisure centre and the oldest purpose-built cinema in Suffolk, which today offers the latest digital 3D projection systems! The 14th century remains of Leiston Abbey lie northwest of the town and its high street has a good range of shops, banks, pubs, restaurants and takeaways, plus a Post Office and a library. RSPB Minsmere is a short drive away towards the coastline of the Suffolk Heritage Coast, which offers lovely walking opportunities through this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
