This terraced cottage is situated in the charming village of Holton in the heart of Suffolk, making this perfect accommodation for a couple’s retreat.. Ground Floor:

Bedroom 2: With raised single bed (unsuitable for people with mobility issues). . Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. Welcome pack and doggy extras. Small enclosed lawned garden with patio, garden furniture, barbecue and chiminea. On road parking. No smoking. Please note: There are 2 steps in the garden.. One Well Cottage is a lovely terraced cottage, offering a comfortable base for a relaxing break to the peaceful Suffolk village of Holton and the surrounding area. The property boasts a charming kitchen/dining room overlooking the garden, and a cosy living room with a wood burner. The contemporary bathroom is on the ground floor and you will find two bedrooms upstairs on the first floor. The cottage is suitable for a couple or a family of three, and two dogs are welcome, with dog friendly pubs and various walks nearby, including Holton Pits. The enclosed garden is great for your four-legged friend, and the chimnea and barbecue make this the perfect place for al fresco dining.

You will find amenities close by, with a farm shop and café approximately 600 yards away. The village of Holton boasts a Grade II listed post mill (windmill) with parts dating back to the 18th century. The mill has been restored on numerous occasions and its sails started working again in 1996. Now under private ownership, the mill is sometimes opened to the public. The Norman St Peter’s church in the village has a rare round tower and it is said that smugglers used its double roof to store contraband that they brought up the river Blyth. The nearby market town of Halesworth has a good selection of shops, eateries and everyday amenities. The Cut Arts Centre is based in the heart of the town and provides a varied programme of events including musicals, plays, tribute bands and cinema nights. It is also home to a popular café.

Just outside Halesworth is Camel Park Oasis which provides a great day out for families with children. Southwold, 8 miles away on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, is a year round destination with a working lighthouse, bustling pier, picture perfect beach huts and of course, the beautiful sandy beach. The Alfred Corry Lifeboat Museum gives visitors an insight into the lives of the crew of the Southwold Lifeboat Station. Make sure you book in advance for the popular Adnams Brewery tour which allows a fascinating look around the distillery. The Coastal Voyager offers a range of sea trips including short fun rides or trips to see the seals and the wind farm at Scroby Sands. The town of Woodbridge with its quaint shops and attractive harbour, Ipswich, known for its waterfront lined with shops and cafés, the city of Norwich with its castle and cathedral, and the historic Bury St Edmunds all make a fantastic day out. Beach 7½ miles. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
