Resting in the seaside town of Southwold, Suffolk, St James House is set over four floors and offers a fantastic space for a family or group of adults, and close to local amenities and attractions. Park outside the property and enter into a building that has been renovated to a high standard, with all of the home-from-home amenities you will need to enjoy your stay. Make yourself at home in one of the selection of sitting areas, beginning with a sitting room enjoying views of the court outside and the lighthouse, with large windows allowing in seas of light, and a selection of sofas for you to recline in as you catch up on your favourite TV shows, whilst the handy utility room takes care of your sandy clothes, or there is the garden room, with the original parquet flooring adding character and glass doors opening up onto the garden. On the ground floor you will also find a fantastic study, perfect for anyone who needs to work during their stay, or for those who love a good book, as there is a vast selection on offer, and you can test your musical skills at the piano! Climb the stairs to the first floor where the kitchen awaits, an amply fitted space where you can cook up a storm, serving it at the dining table, also on the first floor, and here you will also find the splendid sunroom, a perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee. As the evening wears on, enjoy a soak in the third-floor shower, before settling down for the night in one of the four bedrooms, including a second-floor super-king-size with TV and en-suite, a second-floor king-size, a third-floor king-size, and finally a third-floor single. Outside, the garden is spectacular, with a patio sporting furniture for alfresco dining ad shrubs adding a pop of colour, breakfast in the sunshine here will be a must. Southwold is a picturesque seaside town with many amenities and activities on offer, beginning with the beach, a pretty expanse of sand, overlooked by the historic Southwold Lighthouse, where you can enjoy walks in the salty air with your four-legged friend, or you can try out watersports or even wild swimming. There is an abundance of independent shops and eateries in the town, so why not try out local produce and enjoy a hot meal and a glass of your favourite beverage at the end of the day? Further from the property you will find Southwold Maize Maze, a great family day out, or for those who love walking and wildlife, head over to Benacre National Nature Reserve. Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, rspb Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.
