Canoeing, kayaking, cycling, fishing, golfing, climbing and riding will all be found locally. The Forest of Dean is home to some great cycle tracks to suit all abilities, with picnic sights, sculpture trails and attractions such as the steam railway, Dean Heritage Centre and Go Ape tree top adventure park.

Symonds Yat has great climbing on Yat Rock and is popular for its nesting Peregrine Falcons. Goodrich Castle is nearby, as well as many more around the English/Welsh borders. The market towns of Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth and Abergavenny, which is host to many food festivals and are popular for their markets, are all within easy driving. Hereford itself has its Cathedral which is renowned for The Three Choirs Festival, as well as The Mappa Mundi Centre and chained library. Shop 1½ miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
