This beautifully converted forge and terrace cottage is set in the Calderdale village of Midgley, in West Yorkshire, a short drive from the popular towns of Hebden Bridge and Haworth. The property is set with exposed wooden beams and partition walls topped with glass, to allow natural light to fill the entire property, it is ideal for a omantic couple looking for an adventurous, yet relaxing break. Enjoy the cosy sitting room, curled up with your loved one with a glass of wine in the evening. Prepare picnics and tasty meals in the kitchen and enjoy a candlelit dinner at the dining table in the lounge. After a long day, you can revive aching muscles with a long hot shower and catch your rest in the double bedroom, which has plenty of storage and allows you to make yourself completely at home. If you don't feel like cooking for the evening, you can venture out for dinner and an evening drink in the local village pub. Spend your days exploring the beautiful countryside surrounding Midgley, there are many wonderful attractions nearby. Pull on your walking boots and explore the Pennine Way, spend the day at National Trust Hardcastle Crags, or visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum. You can also enjoy cycling and visiting the many delightful towns and villages of West Yorkshire, including Hebden Bridge, Haworth and Skipton! An excellent destination for couples in superb region for touring.
The village of Midgley is situated above the Calder Valley, between Halifax and Hebden Bridge. The village has beautiful views of the moors beyond, a local pub and a thriving community with a village shop, run by volunteers. Visit the nearby National Trusts Hardcastle Crags and enjoy picnics and beautiful walks around the Ogden Water reservoir. There are wonderful walks nearby, including the popular Pennine Way, whilst the beautiful, rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Dales and Peak District National Parks are less than an hour away. The area is also wonderful for cyclists, who can retrace the 2014 Tour de France and 2015 Tour de Yorkshire routes! A fantastic destination for exploring West Yorkshire!
